Fort la Latte, also known as the Castle of the Rock Goyon, is a majestic 13th-century castle raised on a small piece of land in the northeast of Brittany. The site is located in the commune of Plévenon, Côtes-d’Armor, France, and is officially named a historical monument of great importance by the French government back in 1925.

The castle has a highly specific access schedule, so it’s always wise to check that in advance before planning your trip. As of 2020, opening times of Fort la Latte are declared to be:

  • From February 8 to March 8 – 1 PM to 5 PM
  • Weekends in March – 1 PM to 5 PM
  • April, May, June, and September – 10:30 AM to 6 PM
  • July and August – 10:30 AM to 7 PM
  • October – 1 PM to 5 PM

Part of the reasons why the opening times of the castle are always a subject of dynamic is that it continually hosts different film sets and movie shooting activities.
